The record has been broken. Lake Waconia ice-out has never been later. The official ice-out is today, May 4th. Due to the extremely late start to the open-water season, our bait shop and access will remain closed for an interim period of time while we begin constructing our marina docks. We will update mid-next week with any potential opening hours for both our bait shop and access.
It takes several weeks for us to complete work needed to safely use our docks. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time as there will be periodic disruptions moving heavy dock equipment from our parking lot into the lake that we normally don’t have to worry about this time of year.
